The Tropical Heat Wave is still with us and we are NOT complaining. We know how to stay cool and to
avoid ennui.

The answer is good air conditioning and a certain addictive game involving 52 cards. It's Bridge, of
course! And more and more people are playing it all over our planet. [t continues to be increasingly
popular because it is not another no-brainer, but, rather, a largely logical, fascinating game. And by
using your intellect, it keeps you sharp and ----even happy! With that promise, don't break down the
doors, but come to our regular Rainberry Bridge Club weekly games. We always have room for you at
our tables.

\We meet at the Club House on Monday and Thursday nights at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. If you
need a partner, call Elaine Indenbaum at272-3894.

Our next monthly party will be Sunday October 30 at Noon. We share Bagels, coffee AND an
afternoon of Bridge.  Call Director Bernard Etish at 278-3715.

Don't forget:
***Starting in October, we will resume our Thursday night games
***Our Holiday party is Friday, December, 16th at BenVenuto's
Everybody loves this restaurant---beautiful ambiance, but, more importantly, sensational food.
    Members--$30 Non.--$35

A day at tile Bridge table is better than cleaning tile house!

From the President:
The Bridge Club is lucky to have many, many volunteers working to further our goals of promoting
fellowship and harmony here at Rainberry Bay -our officers and board members, our Game Directors
and, of course, let's not forget our members who support the Club.

Lainey Samuels is one of those people -having served as a Vice-President a few years back and for
the past several years as our Beacon reporter. I, for one, have always enjoyed her articles. She has
filled them with interesting and fun information about our game and her love and knowledge of the
game have always been evident.

Now Lainey would like to "put her feet up" and take a rest. And so we're looking for a volunteer to fill
this role. How about it - any takers? You know the saying "call me" 278-5942. Ask for April.
