The Web RIC is updated once a week during the summer and twice a week during Season. If there is something
urgent, it will be broadcast on both media immediately.  

For your benefit, MYRIC is designed so you may stop at any screen to read it thoroughly. Simply click at the bottom of
the screen and you will see a double upright bar (the PAUSE symbol). Press that and it will hold the screen until you
press the forward arrow to move through the screens.

The Beacon
MANDATE
The Beacon is a monthly newsletter focusing on the events, dates and times of community functions and
Board activities. From its advertising, the Beacon sustains itself and often provides things to enhance the
community.

Activities:
The Beacon deadline is the 12th of the month.
  1. Your articles must be in by e-mail preferably,  or placed in the Beacon Mailbox next to the Rainberry
    library.
  2. All articles must be typed and signed.
  3. Your club articles are to be limited to 300 words, and thank you notes, about 50 words.
  4. If you have pictures of an event, send them as a jpg and if there is room, they will be included.

Please keep us posted on any event you hear about... especially if someone is ill so we can include them in
the get well list, condolences, congratulations, etc as you are the eyes and ears of the community.
CHANNEL 93 GUIDELINES
  1. Safety, medical, CERT and Board
    messages take precedence over
    everything else and will be broadcast
    immediately and for as long as needed.
  2. Functions requiring outside  reservations
    (i.e. cruises, trips) will be broadcast as
    early as 1 week before reservation-taking
    begins. Please indicate cutoff date. They
    will remain on until the day after the
    function and will be broadcast on
    alternate days after 30 days.
  3. In-house functions requiring tickets or
    reservations must be submitted one week
    before ticket sales begin and will be
    broadcast only as early as one week
    before ticket sales and will continue until
    the day after the function, not to exceed 3
    weeks.
  4. Club meetings, classes and service
    groups messages will be broadcast no
    more than 10 days before the meeting
    and will stop airing after meeting or class
    is done. All cancellations and changes
    must be in writing. Or you may call the
    RIC office recorder (272-6725).

All messages must be submitted to the RIC
mailbox at least 48 hours before airing. It must
be submitted on a
RIC FORM (click on RIC
Form to get a copy to fill out) printed legibly or
typewritten. Information must contain the name
of the person submitting the form, a contact
phone, the date of request, when ticket sales or
reservations begin, date of function and a
concise message. Note: All messages may be
edited at the discretion of the RIC staff.
Counter
Due to the digital upgrade from
Comcast, all TV's with a box will
have a channel change for the
closed circuit stations here at
Rainberry Bay.

After December 15, 2010:

  • RIC will be viewed
    on Channel 93
  • Social Club viewed
    on Channel 94
  • Tennis Club viewed
    on Channel 63
